Free Photography Bundle ($180 value): PS actions, LR presets, photograph overlays, & publish templates! Get it here. In this tutorial we’ll walk through the process of making a fine, soft calming effect in Adobe Lightroom. In the end of the tutorial you will also be able to download a free preset that will apply the settings displayed in the tutorial, which means you are able to use the preset on your own photos in case you don’t want to work through the steps. This light effect can be used with a wide variety of photos, but they tend to work very nicely with portraits and outside photographs. The totally free preset in the conclusion of the report is your Soft Blue preset from our newest set of Pastel Lightroom Presets. If you like this pastel appearance please visit the complete set of pastel presets. If you’d like more Lightroom presets check out our Ultimate Photography Bundle, which comprises over different presets. Here’s a”before” version of this photograph that we will be working with. And here is a sneak peak of the result that we’ll be creating within this tutorial. Measure 1: The simple Section of the Develop ModuleTo get started we will make some alterations in the”Basic” segment of Lightroom’s grow module. I’m going to FREE Pastel Lightroom Presets modify the exposure to lighten the picture a little bit (this placing differ based on the photo that you’re working with, as an example, if you’re starting with a photograph that is finished or underexposed). I’ll also give the picture a small increase in contrast by placing the contrast slider to +10. In the highlights, shadows, whites, and blacks area I will change the preferences to +5, +and +12. This may lighten the photo, but it will impact the dark areas (through the reds and blacks configurations ) over it’ll impact the lighter regions. Next, we will change some settings in the”Presence” segment. I’m setting clarity to -5 to provide a subtle softening effect to this photo, which will do the job nicely with the milder picture along with the soft tones that will be added. I’m also setting the vibrance to -15 and warmth to -25, These configurations will create the colours of the photograph a bit more dull, which may also work nicely with the soft tones. At this point our work in progress looks like this:You may see the impact of lightening the photo and desaturating it. Step 2: The Tone CurveThe second thing we’ll do is create a small edit to the tone , which will again lighten the photograph a little
